Halo 4 is still missing. I've been playing Halo 2 & 3 and the team slayer playlists.

It works more than it has, but I got matched into a party and started a game, only to have the game immediately say "game over". Like 3 times before I got into a real game.

And Big Team is still completely borked. I bought the game on release day and have yet to play a single Big Team game.

I haven't tried all of them so thanks for the heads up. The playlists working for me are: Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Team Slayer. Still at least some progress.

Team Slayer is the only other one I try. I REALLY want to play some Halo 1. I've played a ton of Halo 2 and 3 when they were new, but we never had Halo 1 online. If they had a playlist for it I would never play anything else haha.

We had Halo 1 online on PC. It is, far and away, the best version of Halo multiplayer. None of that two-hit-kill melee BS, grenades that actually travel a decent distance when thrown, guns that are all useful, and vehicles with proper weaknesses.

Grenades and weapons were all the same, but more levels, online multiplayer, banshee, fuel rod, rocket warthog, and flamethrower were the only differences gameplay wise. Other than that it was the same. And that's what's in the Masterchief Collection.

I was comparing Halo 1 to all the Halos that came after it. Halo 2 had a bunch of gimmicky crap that Bungie themselves tried to distance each subsequent release further and further away from, but could never successfully do so because they had pigeonholed the series with Halo 2.
